Work Experience
2000 to present: Freelance writer/copywriter/consultant. Have been published internationally, including TIME, the journal, EXPN.com, and TransWorld SNOWboarding Japan, as well as heading up yearly copywriting initiatives for Nike 6.0, Quiksilver, and Roxy Snow.
 
2000 to 2006: Senior Editor, TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine, Oceanside, California (2000-2004) and Portland, Oregon (2004 to 2006). Writing; editing; photography; providing Web content; event reporting; overseeing editorial flow and every part of production process; managing a team of contributors; organizing and executing photo shoots, feature trips, and events. I’m currently a lead contributing writer at TransWorld.
 
2005 to 2006: Copy-writer, Nemo Design, Portland, Oregon. Generating original content for Web stores, catalogues, company mission statements, ad campaigns, etc. Co-copywriter in charge of NikeStore.com account from July 06 to January 06. Other account work for Nike 6.0, Mastercraft, Magic 32, Smith, Hotel Max.
 
2005 to 2008: Volunteer at Write Around Portland, a non-profit that runs volunteer-facilitated writing workshops for people affected by HIV/AIDS, survivors of domestic violence, people in recovery from drug/alcohol addiction, and others. I edit their quarterly anthology and interview featured writers for their Web site.
 
1993 to 2000: Professional snowboarder, Vail, Colorado. Self-marketing, modeling, in put on equipment/clothing design, travel.
