So Long Seattle

We took a field trip to Seattle last weekend and my feeling about the place is that it's absolutely just too cold. All that flat lovely water has a definite calming effect on your disposition, and yet, the air slices off it heavy with damp. As a rule, when it comes to outings away from Portland, I'm try'na get warmer here, not colder, ya know?

So nice to get out of town, though. Highlights were as follows: Mother's Day dinner on the Sound with Lance's mommy. Seeing Muzzy and Dresser, Blue, Brad, and many more old-time homeys at Street League. Watching heavy stunt skateboarding in person. Snacks at the Honey Hole with Ben and Jesse. A nice drive south towards home in the evening sunshine.
