6th Grade
In with the mail this morning came a package from South Dakota, where my former teacher from 6th grade lives. I haven't talked to her, so I'm not sure what prompted the delivery of my old reading log from her class, but it's pretty hilarious. I love how matter of fact I was. One of the entries simply said, "I think this book is stupid." Haha.
Also, it appears I read the World Book Encyclopedia entry on "Time" and felt inspired to write about it. Something to think about ...
"I expected the encyclopedia to be more exact and scientific. That tells me we really don't know what time is if we can't even give it a scientific defenition. It doesn't give a defenition of time but it does tell a lot about time zones and things that we know about. I think about time in two different forms: scientific, and mysterious."

Hi. It's a spring morn and I'm at work listening to the Galaxy 500 station on Pandora until I reach my allotted free listening hours for the month. Which is any second now. Life is great because our new T-shirts just arrived, and once you have T-shirts, then it's official—you own a business. Yep, a whole new class of people talk to me now—like, owners from other shops in the neighborhood stop and introduce themselves to me while I'm out front scrubbing the windows. And at least once a day someone will say to me, "Thank you for building this skatepark." Cool, hmm? Stop in here and hang out with me and all the ten year boys who are spilling soda on the couch even as I type.
